Welcome to the Office of Student Life. We are here to provide you with comprehensive programs, activities and services that will enhance your college experience! We are here to support student clubs and organizations, encourage active citizenship and service, develop student leaders and create a great community. Opportunities to get involved at VU are limited only by your energy, enthusiasm, and willingness to get out and make new friends.
Looking for a way to get involved?
The Office of Student Life staff provide services for students and their families that support and contribute to the educational goals of the institution. Specifically by:
- Supporting student independence through consistent and fair policy enforcement
- Advocating for the development of the whole person intellectually, physically, and socially
- Promoting and sponsoring programs and activities which instill a sense of personal responsibility toward other students, the institution, and the community in which they live
- Communicating and establishing a rapport with students to increase the student's awareness of issues, services, student rights, and responsibilities
- Encouraging social and personal accountability and responsible decision-making
Mission
The mission of the Office of Student Life is to encourage student success by enhancing the college student experience. The office develops the student through a holistic student-centered approach that promotes personal and social responsibility.
Vision
The Office of Student Life will provide a diverse environment that: (1) facilitates student development through campus-wide programming and leadership opportunities; (2) encourages collaboration among campus and community members; and (3) offers inclusive support for students.
