About This Degree

This curriculum is designed for an A.S. degree in engineering science with a concentration in actuarial sciences and mathematics. 

Actuaries determine and manage risk. They help leaders make strategic decisions to help their businesses grow. The demand for actuaries is high and includes the following industries: insurance, banking, investments, government, energy, e-commerce, marketing and many more. This program provides the first two years towards a bachelor degree. All students should check specific requirements of the respective transfer institution before choosing a concentration in this program.

The median pay for actuaries is $111,000 and jobs are expected to grow by 18% between 2019 - 2029.
