VINCENNES, Ind. - Paul Blair has taken on new responsibilities at Vincennes University, according to an announcement from Kristi Deetz, senior director of External Relations at Vincennes University.

Blair joined the VU staff in 2016, working part-time as a sound engineer and technician at VU’s Red Skelton Performing Arts Center. He will now also serve as the supervisor for BlazerVision where his responsibilities will include managing a student crew and creating audio/visual content for Trailblazer events in the Physical Education Complex, in addition to teaching in the Recording Arts program.

A 1997 alumnus of Vincennes Lincoln High School, Blair earned an associate degree in Audio Recording from the Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University and a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (Audio Option) at the University of Miami, Coral Gables, in 2003.

Blair served as coordinator of Curriculum Technology for the North Knox School Corporation from Sept. 2012 to Oct. 2017. While at North Knox he served as manager and technical director for its auditorium and co-founded North Knox Learning Days, a professional development workshop.

Prior to that, Blair served as coordinator of curriculum technology for the Vincennes Community School Corporation from 2005 to 2012, which included serving as manager and technical director of Ader Auditorium, teaching physics and Project Lead the Way, and serving as the manager of data and computer systems.

While a student at IU-Bloomington, Blair was manager of recordings for the Musical Arts Center and manager of recording services for the Jacob School of Music. He also completed an internship for Chicago Trax Recording Studios.

“I am excited to join the team at VU full-time. I look forward to sharing my experience with my co-workers and the student body of Vincennes University,” Blair said.

Blair and his wife Monica Moore reside in Vincennes with their daughter Olivia who is 8.
