November 26, 2018 / Skelton Museum offers 2 days of holiday family fun
VINCENNES, Ind. - A holiday concert featuring “Silver Bells and
Diamonds” and an afternoon of family-friendly fun will help ring in
the holidays season Dec. 15 and 16. The events are provided by the Red
Skelton Museum of American Comedy and will be held at Vincennes
University’s Red Skelton Performing Arts Center, 20 Red Skelton Blvd.
Saturday’s 7:30 p.m. (EST) concert will highlight the timeless
sounds of The Diamonds vocal quartet. In 1957 the group released an
instant hit called “Little Darlin’” which continues to sell worldwide
and has been dubbed by many as “the National Anthem of Rock and Roll.”
The Diamonds perform in a variety of venues and settings worldwide and
note that they have been pleased to find a growing audience among all
age groups who love songs they can understand, remember, and actually
sing along with.
Tickets for the “Silver Bells and Diamonds” concert are $40 for
reserved seating and $35 for general admission. Tickets for an
exclusive pre-show reception in the Museum cost $10 and will include
hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar. Tickets can be purchased online at
RedSkeltonMuseum.org or call 812-888-4184.
On Sunday, children of all ages can enjoy free Family Day
Activities from 1:30-3:30 p.m. at the Red Skelton Museum. Several
Christmas-themed episodes of The Red Skelton Show will be shown and
there will be games, refreshments, and a visit with Santa.

be offering 15 percent off museum store merchandise.
