VINCENNES, Ind. – Vincennes University and Vincennes University
Jasper are inviting prospective students and their parents to
PreVU Day is a special open house that allows students to take an
interactive tour of the more than 200-acre Vincennes campus, Indiana’s
most affordable residential college, or the 140-acre Jasper
campus. Attendees will hear about exciting and varied academic
programs, student life, and facilities. The day concludes with
PreVU days are scheduled for March 20 and 21, and April 17 and 18 on
the Vincennes campus. VU Jasper will host PreVU on April 8.
“We will have faculty, student activities and student support
services available, as well as an in-depth campus tour,” VU Director
of Admissions Heidi Whitehead said. “It’s a chance to see what all VU
offers. It’s a great opportunity for prospective students and their families.”
Anyone interested in studying at VU or VU Jasper is welcome to
attend. Admissions and financial aid counselors will be present, as
will faculty from the University’s more than 180 academic programs. In
addition to associate degrees, six bachelor’s degrees and 57
professional certificates, VU offers more than 400 transfer opportunities.
“The best way to find out if a college is the right fit is to visit
campus,” VU Jasper Admissions Counselor Lisa Witte said.
Visitors can ask professors, staff, and students questions about
specific areas of interest.
Focus days are designed to put the spotlight on specific programs of
study, as well as, an opportunity for attendees to take part in
special events hosted by each College. The April 17 date will focus on
Health Sciences and Human Performance majors. All majors are invited
to attend focus days.
8:30 a.m. - Check-in: We'll be waiting for you at the Red Skelton
Performing Arts Center.
9:00 a.m. - Admissions/Welcome: We'll cover the basics of applying
for college, financial aid, residential life, and student activities.
9:45 a.m. - Campus Tour: Join us for a stroll along the brick
walkways to see our campus.
11:00 a.m. - Academic Tour: Professors from your major will walk
you through their classrooms and labs.
12:00 p.m. - Lunch: Your day isn't complete until you've joined us
for a complimentary lunch in the Tecumseh Dining Center.

9:45 a.m. – Check in: We’ll be waiting for you at the Center for
Technology, Innovation and Manufacturing (CTIM)
10 a.m. – Welcome
10:15 a.m. – Admissions & Financial Aid: We’ll cover the
basics of applying for college, financial aid, and scholarships.
10:45 a.m. – Student Panel: Current students will share their VU
11:15 a.m. – Tour &Talk: During a walking tour of campus,
professors will provide information on available programs.
12:30 p.m. – Lunch & Attendance Prizes: Lunch is on us.

VU is state-supported with campuses in Vincennes and Jasper, the
Aviation Technology Center and American Sign Language program in
Indianapolis, Early College Career and Technical Education Centers,
and additional sites such as the Gene Haas Training and Education

VINCENNES UNIVERSITY JASPER CAMPUS The Vincennes University
Jasper Campus is a vital part of Indiana’s first college, Vincennes
University. The Jasper Campus fulfills the vision of CoHERE, a Dubois
County citizens group founded in 1958, that was dedicated to improving
area education and cultural enrichment. Vincennes University joined as
a strong partner, opening a Jasper location in 1970.
VU Jasper features a beautiful 140-acre campus on the southeast side
of Jasper. Accredited by the Higher Learning Commission, VUJ tuition
and fees rank among the most affordable of all Indiana colleges. In
addition to offering associate degree and certificate programs, VUJ
students can complete a bachelor’s degree online or at the Vincennes Campus.
VU Jasper’s Center for Technology, Innovation and Manufacturing is a
hub for community engagement in local education. It is home to the
Career Advancement Partnership (CAP) program, a major workforce
development initiative between VUJ and local manufacturing companies.

Ruxer Student Center, Arnold F. Habig Library Learning Center,
Administrative Classroom Building, and a Jasper Campus Classroom
Building that holds a state-of-the-art simulation laboratory for
healthcare training. Adjacent to the campus is the Jasper Arts Center,
which includes a 675-seat theater and visual arts galleries.
The VU Jasper Campus serves thousands of students in Dubois, Spencer,
Martin, Perry, Crawford, Harrison, Pike, Orange, Daviess, Lawrence and
