VINCENNES, Ind. - The Vincennes University Department of Music
will present a “Celebration of Debussy” faculty recital on November 6,
7:30 p.m. (EST), at the Red Skelton Performing Arts Center. Admission
to the performance is free, and the public is invited to attend.
The performance will feature VU music faculty members Dr. Claudia
Bossard and Sean Cavanaugh, piano; Michael Howell and Dave Parman,
guitar; and Juliet Gilchrist, soprano. Special guest performers will
include Eric Bowling, flute; Isabella Meier, piano; and Joseph Jones
and Alex Bauernfiend, guitar.
The event will highlight vocal and instrumental works by Claude
Debussy. The recital is part of many world-wide celebrations of
Debussy and his music that are taking place throughout 2018, which
marks the 100th anniversary of his death.
