Trailblazer baseball postponed today against Wabash Valley

VINCENNES, Ind. – The Vincennes University baseball team’s scheduled game today against top-ranked Wabash Valley has been postponed due to rain in the weather forecast.

The makeup date for the non-conference game is Monday, April 29 at Jerry Blemker Field at 6:30 p.m. EDT.

Wabash Valley is ranked No. 1 in NJCAA Division I.

The Trailblazers will take an 18-23 record into a four-game Mid-West Athletic Conference Series at home against Heartland Friday and Saturday.

VU and Heartland play a doubleheader on Friday beginning at 4 p.m. EDT.  They’ll play another doubleheader on Saturday starting at noon EDT.

Scholarship Fund

Trailblazer Scholarship Fund - The VU Foundation awarded a record $1.4 million scholarship dollars of VU Foundation and University funds for the 2015-2016 school year to incoming and returning VU students.  

These included awards to students from 10 states across the country and 4 international awards.  

Currently the VU Foundation manages over 540 scholarship and department funds, with 259 new funds created in just the last 10 years.

Play for Kay Cancer Awareness

The Kay Yow Cancer Fund, in partnership with the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) and The V Foundation, is a 501 (c)(3) charitable organization committed to being a part of finding an answer in the fight against women's cancers through raising money for scientific research, assisting the underserved and unifying people for a common cause. Kay Yow was a college head coach for 38 years and past president and founding member of the Women's Basketball Coaches Association. Her name is synonymous with North Carolina State. She is a member of the Naismith National Basketball Hall of Fame and achieved more than 700 career victories. Yow was diagnosed with breast cancer in 1987. She passed away in 2009 after an on-again, off-again battle with the disease.
