Clark-Dunn Practical Nursing Scholarship

Health Sciences Scholarships

Through the generosity of the Alexandra Clark Trust, a $1 Million dollar donation created a permanent endowment to provide scholarships to students in the Practical Nursing program. Named after Clark and her husband, the Alexandra Clark and Oscar Dunn LPN Scholarship will be a scholarship that offers financial support through all three semesters of the program (renewal criteria must be met at the end of each semester).  Multiple scholarships will be awarded each fall term and could provide up to full tuition and fees or be applied to housing fees.

How do I apply for a scholarship?
There are four basic steps to beginning the process:
1. Complete the VU Application
2. Complete the VU Scholarship Application (attached to the online VU application or download the form)
3. Apply to the PN program
4. Complete the FAFSA

How does the scholarship work with other grants or scholarships?
Each student's financial aid package is different. This scholarship will be applied to the recipient's account after all forms of federal and state financial aid or scholarships have been applied.

What are additional educational opportunities?
The Practical Nursing program can be the first step to the next level of nursing - the Associate of Science Nursing degree to become and Registered Nurse which can then lead to the RN to BSN program for the baccalaureate degree.
