April 13, 2017 / Student Art Exhibition opens April 18
VINCENNES, Ind. - The works of Vincennes University art and design students will be on exhibit in the Shircliff Gallery of Art from April 18-29.
The exhibition will open with a reception in the Gallery on April 18, 11 a.m. (EST), with awards presented by VU President Chuck Johnson at 11:30 a.m.
Awards will be juried by Elizabeth M. Claffey, assistant professor of art at Indiana University, Bloomington.
Shircliff Gallery of Art is located on the VU Campus in the Shircliff Humanities Center, Room A103, at the corner of First and Harrison streets on the VU campus. Gallery hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and 12 noon to 3 p.m. Sundays. Admission is free.

ELIZABETH M. CLAFFEY
Claffey is an honors graduate of Earlham College and has an MFA in photography from Texas Woman's University where she also earned a graduate certificate in Women's Studies. She received a 2012-13 William J. Fulbright Fellowship which she used to support her documentary and creative research in Eastern Europe. Claffey’s work focuses on the way personal and familial narratives are shaped by interactions with both domestic and institutional structures and spaces.
