VU, First Indiana Robotics scrimmage ignites Vincennes Campus with ingenuity

The Vincennes University Center for Applied Robotics and Automation and First Indiana Robotics welcomed high school students from Southwestern Indiana for an exhilarating Robotics Scrimmage on the Vincennes Campus. VU introduces cutting-edge collaborative robots to Early College Career Centers

The Vincennes University Center for Applied Robotics and Automation (CARA) has taken a significant leap into the future of education and technology by deploying 12 collaborative robots across eight Early College centers in Indiana. Cobots are in use at the Area 31 Career Center in Indianapolis. The center received three cobots from the CARA in mid-January, and CARA Technical Advisor Morgan Chang trained five instructors and staff.

We're barely into 2024, yet there is a significant date long circled on the calendar of Dr. Dennis Wissing '76. With each passing day, the Dean of the College of Education and Human Development at Louisiana State University-Shreveport is eagerly anticipating an approaching milestone and momentous occasion. "On January 15th of 2024, I will be a licensed respiratory therapist for 50 years," the Vincennes University graduate says. "That is my No. 1 and proudest achievement, and that is because of Vincennes University’s program."
